Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, highlighting specials and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery Provide expert recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and specials to boost sales and guest satisfaction Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries professionally Culinary experience or understanding of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining quality service Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities Previous host/host or serving experience preferred; strong communication skills are essential Basic math skills for accurate check splitting, cash handling, and transaction processing Knowledge of food industry standards related to serving, food preparation, kitchen operations, and sanitation practices

Pay: $12.00 - $24.87 per hour
