We are seeking motivated and friendly full-time and part-time Servers to join our team! No experience? No problem! We will train you to set you up for success. $17 per hour! Typical shifts are 10am - 7pm or 3pm - 7pm and Saturday/Sunday 9:30am - 3pm or 3pm - 7pm.
Servers are responsible for the preparation and clean-up of our Dining Room for all resident meals. The position sets up and serves sit down meals complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established dining room programs and procedures. Servers also take care of Room Service deliveries (very few) and Grab & Go orders for our delightful residents.
Although consistently serving tasty and quality meals for our residents is our primary goal, this job isn't just about being a friendly and helpful team player. We are seeking team members who take an interest in our community, have the ability to connect with our residents, guests, and fellow staff team members on a daily basis. The willingness to get to know our residents, what they like or prefer, and embrace these wonderful folks each and every meal time is important, too.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares dining room for meals by setting and clearing tables and cleaning tables and chairs after each meal.
Takes and writes down orders at the tables during meal times.
Carries trays of food and beverages to tables and serves residents and guests.
Serves food correctly according to the standard set forth in the table service style.
Properly operates required dining room and kitchen equipment.
Cleans tables and chairs after each meal and performs other cleaning projects as assigned.
Adheres to dress code established for all Servers.
Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The following are the minimum levels required to successfully perform the Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities.
Prior food service experience is preferred.
Read, write, speak, and understand English and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to be flexible and respond appropriately and effectively to changing work conditions.
Demonstrated skill in understanding and working with an elderly population and the special need to ensure their safety and comfort in the dining room.
Consistently demonstrate teamwork and positive day-to-day work relationships and interactions with co-workers, managers, residents, resident family members and friends, and vendors.
Must have and maintain a valid Oregon Food Handler Card or Food Manager Training Certificate.
