We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Server to join our dynamic team in an upscale casual boutique dining environment. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service while also training new staff members on best practices in food service. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of bartending and culinary experience, as well as, knowledge of current bar service and wine trends.
Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
Train new servers on menu knowledge, service standards, and operational procedures.
Utilize Square and OpenTable systems for order entry, reservations and payment processing.
Demonstrate effective upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
Provide full bar/wine service and work with the executive chef to maintain par levels and create food pairings and drink specials. Guide additional servers preparation and handling as needed, ensuring quality and accuracy.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Manage guest relations by addressing any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
Perform bussing duties to maintain a clean dining area throughout service.
Support host/host functions when necessary, including greeting guests and managing reservations through OpenTable.
Requirements
Previous restaurant experience in a fine dining or upscale environment is preferred.
Familiarity with OpenTable and Square Register, or similar systems is highly desirable.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
Bartending and/or wine experience is highly desired as servers are responsible for bar service as well. Kitchen background is a plus, enhancing the training process for new hires.
Ability to work Thursday thru Saturday, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs. Additional hours may be available dependent on event schedule.
