Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and operate cashiering systems like OpenTable or POS terminals Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and adhering to food safety protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues efficiently Assist with food preparation, food handling, and basic math calculations as needed to support smooth operations Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, accommodating special requests, and ensuring overall satisfaction Support sanitation efforts by following proper food industry guidelines for hygiene and safety

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations Ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently during busy shifts Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Excellent communication skills for guest interactions and team collaboration Basic math skills for cash handling, bill splitting, and order calculations Previous host/host or serving experience is highly desirable; knowledge of OpenTable is a plus Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial for supporting food prep and understanding menu items
