Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, creating a positive first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy hours. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols. Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations. Use reservation management platforms like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Support guest services by accommodating special requests and providing personalized recommendations for menu items. Uphold sanitation standards through regular cleaning duties such as bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the dining area remains inviting. Collaborate with team members to create a lively atmosphere in settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants.

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members alike. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue. Solid understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience with food preparation, bussing, host/host duties, or kitchen support is advantageous. Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and transaction accuracy. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours. Hospitality-focused mindset with a passion for providing memorable guest experiences in settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants.
