The Lake Barrington Steakhouse is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all guests receive timely service and high-quality food and beverage offerings while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus, answering any questions about food and beverage options. Take accurate orders using the Aloha POS system and ensure that all orders are processed efficiently. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Handle food safely according to health regulations, ensuring proper food handling practices are followed. Provide excellent guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly. Process payments accurately using the POS system, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Server in a nightclub or similar fast-paced environment is preferred. Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
