What you'll do

Deliver outstanding customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Utilize POS systems to efficiently process orders and manage transactions. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while adhering to food safety regulations. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist with hosting duties as needed, welcoming guests and managing reservations through systems like OpenTable. Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is essential; fine dining experience is preferred. Culinary experience is a plus, providing insight into menu offerings and enhancing guest interactions. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high service standards. Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling are required. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation protocols is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with guests and team members alike. A background in hospitality or guest services will give you an edge in creating memorable experiences.
