Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Manage tables efficiently by coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Assist with food handling and preparation when needed, adhering strictly to food safety regulations. Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, accommodating special requests, and resolving any concerns promptly. Support host/host duties when necessary by managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and managing waitlists. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy nights or events such as nightclub evenings. Follow all sanitation procedures to uphold health standards in food service environments. Engage in ongoing training related to food industry best practices, menu updates, and customer service excellence.

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant serving roles with a strong background in fine dining or food industry settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and strong guest relations abilities. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining genuine enthusiasm for the offerings. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures essential for maintaining health regulations. Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments accurately. Experience working in hospitality environments such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants is highly desirable. Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a bonus for better understanding of food preparation processes. Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members seamlessly. Ability to handle food handling responsibilities safely while maintaining cleanliness standards. Pay: $20.88 - $25.14 per hour
