The Server is responsible for maintaining high standards of the operation in quality and service to maximize profits and create a positive guest experience. The Server is a salesperson with expert menu and company knowledge who offers suggestions and answers questions to ensure guest satisfaction.
All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Share menu knowledge, accurately take food/beverage orders, place orders in POS system and deliver all requested items to guests
Present food and beverage items ordered while ensuring quality and consistency; clear table of used items and dishes in a timely manner ; provide accurate check to guest and ensure payment is made
Follow all cash handling policies and procedures and keep variances to a minimum; accurately count assigned bank at beginning and end of each shift
Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude and assisting guests throughout their visit
Perform assigned duties to stock station with proper supply levels needed for the shift and closing side work to ensure a clean and safe station.
Assume responsibility for assigned section including cleanliness and organization
Maintain open communication as a liaison with the FOH and BOH, and other departments to ensure efficient guest service
Regularly provide information to Supervisor/Manager and Chef regarding guest reactions, comments, or problems that may arise and any safety/appearance concerns throughout the casino to ensure a quality and safe environment
Show willingness and effort to work as a team
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous restaurant service experience required
Maintain working knowledge of a service POS system
Ability to promote and sell
Excellent people skills and ability to courteously and efficiently interact with fellow employees, management and guests to ensure a positive experience
Must pay attention to detail including cleanliness and safety
Ability to communicate effectively in English and listen attentively
Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
Ability to lift, handle and carry (e.g. trays and equipment) a minimum of 25 pounds on a frequent basis
Ability to bend, stand, walk and exert well-paced mobility during entire shift
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
