Position Overview

Our Restaurant Server is responsible for creating a comfortable, friendly dining experience while maintaining the warm, personal service our restaurant is known for. This role blends professional service with a heartfelt, family-style approach to hospitality.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Hospitality

Welcome guests with warmth, sincerity, and a positive attitude. Build friendly relationships with regulars and new guests. Offer menu guidance and recommendations based on guest preferences. Ensure guests feel cared for throughout their visit--attentive but never rushed. Handle special requests with patience and flexibility.

Order Taking & Service

Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system. Clearly communicate guest requests and modifications to the kitchen. Serve food and drinks promptly and with care. Manage pacing of courses to fit the guest experience.

Teamwork in a Family Environment

Work collaboratively with other staff to maintain smooth service. Help wherever needed--this is a small team where everyone supports each other. Assist in side duties such as prepping, refilling water, polishing glasses, or clearing tables.

Cleanliness & Organization

Maintain tidy tables, service areas, and workspaces throughout the shift. Reset tables quickly and neatly for the next guests. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Payment & Checkout

Present checks accurately and process payments efficiently. Handle cash and card transactions responsibly. Ensure accurate split bills or group payments when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous serving experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a great attitude. Friendly, personable, and respectful toward guests and coworkers. Strong multitasking and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, small dining space. Basic food and beverage knowledge, or eagerness to learn. Food handler and alcohol service permits required (or willing to obtain).

Schedule & Availability

Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Flexibility is appreciated as we operate with a small team.
