Telework: This position will work on-site in Minnesota Senate Building, State Capitol, and Senate Chamber
Days of Work/Hours: Monday-Friday/Work hours will vary. This position will have irregular hours during the legislative session. Weekend work is likely towards the end of session.

Position Details
The Minnesota Senate is seeking multiple temporary security staff to help ensure a safe and secure working environment for all Senators and Senate staff during the legislative session. This position will provide a security presence for the Senate Chamber and committee meetings to ensure decorum is in place. Additionally, this position will assist with all office and furniture moves within the Minnesota Senate.
An ideal candidate will have previous experience monitoring or providing security. We seek someone who has a natural ease working with and relating to employee needs in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
In this temporary position, you will not be eligible for health benefits. However, you will be eligible for holiday pay, deferred compensation, our employee assistance program (EAP), staff parking, and Metro Transit options.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, reach upward, climb ladders and stairs, and move heavy objects.
