Job Description

At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional hybrid-electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers, an electric zero-emission range of 200 km and an extended hybrid range of 400 km. Heart is targeting type certification of the ES-30 by the end of the decade.

Your mission

Heart is building a hybrid, battery-electric regional aircraft to decarbonize and democratize aviation. As a Flight Dynamics Engineer on the Flight Performance and Simulation team, you will develop, analyze, and verify aircraft loads and dynamics of our clean sheet hybrid-electric aircraft.

You'll Bring These Qualifications For Senior Dynamics Engineer:

5+ years professional experience in aircraft loads and aeroelasticity, with a solid Proficiency in HyperMesh or similar FEA tools, and aeroelastic solver tools. Experience in CAD design tools such as Siemens NX, and ability to set up simulations from mechanical design data. Strong software development knowledge in Python, MATLAB, or a similar language.

You'll Bring These Qualifications For Staff Dynamics Engineer:

8+ years professional experience in aircraft loads and aeroelasticity, with a solid Proficiency in HyperMesh or similar FEA tools, and aeroelastic solver tools. Experience in CAD design tools such as Siemens NX, and ability to set up simulations from mechanical design data. Strong software development knowledge in Python, MATLAB, or a similar language.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

Foundation in aerodynamics, rigid body dynamics, and the principles of vibration Experience developing software in a team environment (including version control and CI/CD). Experience building optimization pipelines that integrate disparate workflows and tools. Familiarity with environmental qualification testing standards like DO-160G. Experience with Composite Structures Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry

Education

Bachelor's or above in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar.
