Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design, implementation, and management of complex telecommunications networks, including voice, data, video, and wireless services.
Analyze requirements and define system and network specifications for new and existing projects.
Develop comprehensive telecommunications network solutions supporting LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructures.
Serve as a senior technical expert, advising on network architecture, system integration, and performance optimization.
Coordinate and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to completion.
Manage cost evaluations and vendor assessments for voice, data, and wireless WAN services from commercial carriers.
Conduct wireless site surveys and predictive designs using Ekahau Survey Pro 10; perform AP-on-a-stick surveys.
Provide technical and administrative direction to engineering teams; review technical work products for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare milestone reports, network design documentation, and status presentations for stakeholders and government representatives.
Ensure project delivery aligns with timelines, quality standards, and DoD technical and security requirements.
Lead enterprise wireless network design efforts and support Cisco wireless infrastructure (e.g., 3504, 5520, and 9800 WLCs).
Ensure compliance with applicable DLA and Host Activity safety training, including confined space entry where applicable.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certifications
Active BICSI Technician, Installer, or RCDD certification.
Confined Space Entry certification.
Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level I - One of the following: A+ CE; CCNA-Secruity; CND; Network+ CE; SSCP
