We are seeking an innovative and highly organized Senior Technical Product Development Manager to lead the end-to-end coordination of new product development across skincare, personal care, and OTC categories.
This is not a laboratory or formulation role but a client-facing, technically driven project management position within the Product Development department. The ideal candidate will leverage strong formulation and manufacturing knowledge to effectively bridge communication between clients and internal R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
You will serve as the central point of accountability, ensuring projects stay on track, timelines are met, and all cross-functional teams remain aligned throughout the product lifecycle--from concept to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
? Lead the full product development process from concept to commercialization across skincare, OTC, and professional brands.
? Collaborate with internal R&D, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to develop new and reformulated products.
? Use your formulation expertise to guide brands and support the R&D team in developing innovative, compliant, and cost-effective products.
? Champion new textures, actives, delivery systems, and "free-from" claims while staying ahead of ingredient innovations, technologies, and market trends.
? Create and maintain technical documentation, including prototypes, ingredient listings, and marketing support sheets.
? Provide technical input for claims substantiation, consumer safety, and regulatory submissions (FDA, GMP, USDA/NOP, NSF, CTFA/PCPC, etc.).
? Oversee batch submissions, stability, compatibility testing, and product standards to ensure launch readiness.
? Partner with Marketing and Regulatory teams to create compelling product presentations for client innovation seminars.
? Represent the company at industry conferences, vendor meetings, and innovation sessions.
? Maintain GLP/GDP standards, ensuring lab hygiene and accurate batching/testing coordination.
? Manage timelines, stage gates, and KPIs across all projects using tools such as Monday.com, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Food Science, Biology, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
? 4+ years of formulation experience in personal care, skincare, or OTC--preferably in a contract manufacturing environment.
? Strong understanding of formulation principles, ingredient functionality, and global regulatory compliance.
