About the role:
The Senior Supplier Engineer will focus on value improvement projects, new product introduction, and sustaining projects for the Connectors and Cable Assemblies category team, to include Sourced Finished Medical Devices (SFMD). This role partners with cross-functional groups to resolve complex and critical supplier-related issues, while improving supplier performance, mitigating risks for supplied materials and driving strategies to support supply chain objectives. The daily work involves being part of the new product development core team, owning the manufacturing deliverables at the supplier, and supporting sustaining projects.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Responsibilities will include:

• Working with suppliers around the globe to understand assembly and finished good manufacturing processes and acts as technical expert to ensure repeatable and reproducible quality/reliability during the life of the product
• As a technical lead, actively engaging in Global Sourcing category teams, establishing and executing Global Sourcing category objectives
• Investigating and evaluating new and existing technologies for use in future products or to improve quality/reliability of current product
• Interfacing with suppliers and category team members to support investigation of supplied material issues or supply constraints.
• Collaborating with R&D, manufacturing and process development teams on electrical and mechanical design requirements for new product development
• Partnering with manufacturing, quality, and/or sustaining R&D/DA/PM to execute changes initiated by BSC or by the Suppliers, such as improvement projects, supplier capability, capacity projects, and compliance projects
• Coordinating all phases of supplier engineering work content for projects; communicate emerging issues and recovery action plans with site leadership and stakeholders to gain resources and support
• Identifying and executing material cost reduction projects to meet Plant, Division, and Category goals. Influences cross-functional team members to support and drive value improvement projects
• In all actions, demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience supporting complex mechanical or electrical systems
• Ability to travel 10-20% domestic and international

• Experience working in medical device or a similar GMP environment

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
