Responsibilities:

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a talented developer who has a passion for quality.

The primary responsibility of this developer, tester, quality assurance, and software engineer is to work with our real time trading systems and write automated code/tests to evaluate and analyze new functionality. More specifically, this role will focus on building tests and testing tools supporting our world-class, highly scalable data platform. They will also have the opportunity to develop and improve our proprietary automated test frameworks. The role will work directly with our product owners and other development teams to test and validate new features which includes identifying, reporting, and driving resolution on issues discovered.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, an exacting attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a cross functional team environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of development or QA experience is required, with recent and demonstrable experience creating automated test cases and working with test frameworks. Experience with continuous integration systems is a plus.
  • Strong experience in object-oriented design and programming techniques. Our preference is someone with Python or C# development experience or a working knowledge of other programming languages.
  • SQL experience (PostgreSQL or other variety) is necessary.
  • Comfortable with working in a Linux/Unix terminal.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in the financial markets is a plus.
  • Experience with the complete software development life cycle and QA processes in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with MS Windows and Office tools.

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $104,000-$171,600. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
