What you'll do...

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

Build and deliver features

across the full stack ( Java/Spring Boot) to support time and attendance workflows.

Participate in the migration

of core functionality from the legacy GTA platform to Walmart's modern web and mobile architecture.

Implement UI components and workflows

from legacy JSP-based systems into React Native applications, ensuring functionality, stability, and test coverage.

Collaborate closely

with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into working solutions.

Contribute to engineering best practices

by writing clean, maintainable code, unit tests, and automation pipelines.

Support production systems

by troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring timely resolution.

Share knowledge

with peers and contribute to documentation and team standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable applications for millions of Walmart associates. Implement features, write tests, and ensure high-quality code through reviews and automation. Participate in project planning, status updates, and cross-team collaboration. Troubleshoot production issues, assist with root cause analysis, and ensure long-term fixes. Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality practices.

What You'll Bring

4+ years of software development experience

(full-stack preferred). Solid experience with

Java/Spring Boot

and building RESTful APIs. Working knowledge of

cloud platforms

(Azure, GCP, or AWS). Familiarity with

RDBMS or NoSQL databases

, Kafka or messaging systems is a plus. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments. Experience with

Git/GitHub, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker)

, and automated testing frameworks. Good understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

Preferred Skills

Experience migrating legacy systems to modern frameworks. Exposure to large-scale applications and distributed systems. Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools like Splunk, OpenObserve. Strong collaboration and communication skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
