HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Senior SAP Developer/Solution Architect provides SAP technical expertise and leadership to drive architectural solutions designs and technical implementations, including developing, testing and debugging innovative solutions in an SAP centric global landscape. Responsible for leading and maintaining the standardization and integrity of SAP solutions and data throughout the entire global landscape, thus enabling the business to function more efficiently and meet the requirements placed on it by customers, government, and internal initiatives.

THE DETAILS:

  • Participate in product roadmap and product strategy definition; engage with partners to identify & validate requirements, translate to technical solution design
  • Manage technical architecture analysis; define technical solution concepts for IT system integrations with SAP centric focus; provide documented architectural concepts & designs with pros/cons; assesses & recommend solution options
  • Guide technical team to design, develop, configure, test & implement solutions to meet business requirements while adhering to development standards & methodologies
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure common technical elements are leveraged to reduce duplication and technical debt; monitor and guide technical teams
  • Provide hands-on development in ABAP/UI5/HTML, BTP, Fiori, Object Oriented/Web Dynpro ABAP
  • Develop solutions using REST architecture/technology - must have hands on experience with FTP/Rest/OData Adapter
  • Leverage knowledge of SAP IDOC processing & monitoring services to transform messages to/from SAP IDOC to XML format
  • Configure and develop interfaces based on SAP Cloud Integration Suite (CPI)
  • Perform code reviews with peers; able to recognize good programming techniques and correct coding problems; plans & executes unit tests
  • Partner closely with SAP Basis team for implementations and troubleshooting
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience is required
  • 10 + years of ABAP development experience with good understanding of modules such as Finance, MM, PP, SD, WM, etc.
  • Extensive development experience using ABAP RICEFW objects, SAP Forms, SAP Fiori, OData/SAP Web Services, IDOC, BAPI, UI5, User Exits, ABAP Restful API development and SAP enhancements
  • Experience working with interfaces in addition to web services, such as connectors and communication with non-SAP applications
  • Expert in analyzing, creating system specifications, developing tests, and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP technologies
  • Experience with SAP security concepts; must have implemented authorization checks in ABAP objects
  • Expertise in providing technical solution concepts; preparing demos and proof of concept presentations to customers/business stakeholders
  • Experience managing projects and working with cross functional teams
  • Experience with compliance regulations such as GDPR, GRC, a plus
  • Experience in Adobe Interactive Forms, ALV Reporting, ABAP report development, dialog programming, enhancements & BADIs, LSMW are a plus
  • Experience with SAP cloud technologies, SAP BW, SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), SAP HCM, SAP CRM, Hana/S4 development, highly desired
  • Knowledgeable with latest best practices for S/4 HANA/BTP development, ASAP methodology
  • Additional skills in development and related software areas, including Java & NodeJS
  • Experience supporting an international manufacturing and distribution organization
  • Strong structured problem solving and technical leadership skills
  • Good understanding of SAP best practices
  • Ability to assess and manage risks and issues with manager and cross functional teams
  • Proficient with structured development methodologies
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
  • Collaborative & effective team player, able to work with globally dispersed teams
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, code vulnerabilities, build processes, testing and deploymen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), data management software
  • Available to work on site as required by job; eligible for domestic and international travel several times per year up to two weeks\xe2\x80\x99 duration
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, Colorado, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Oregon Tool is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000 to $160,000.
