Essential Job Functions

  • Be an active and reliable member of Impossible Foods\' Process Development & Piloting Team operating protein processing technologies and equipment
  • Operate and support troubleshooting of 4+ unit operations
  • Train teammates on operating 2+ unit operations & leads troubleshooting and data analysis
  • Efficiently communicates all questions, comments and concerns to teammates and supervisor, adheres to all documentation requirements, takes responsibility and ownership over individual and team assignments.
  • Displays strong work ethic, limits distractions on the floor, actively builds a positive working environment for others, actively promotes GMP and safety best practices, actively supports cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Works with a team and as an individual to address assignments, adapts to assignment changes easily, takes initiative to understand the "big picture" for assignments.
  • Execute trials to make food grade products and bring deviations to the attention of the Leads and Management.
  • Work in a safe manner. Work with team members to overcome obstacles. Collaborate, support and consult with other team members as necessary.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and pilot production batch records
  • Collaborate with the Process Development Associates & Engineering team to update process and equipment documentation such as batch records and SOPs
  • Participate in solving problems surrounding pilot processing, quality and equipment failures
  • Work in a food certified Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility requiring Proper Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Complete Clean-in-Place, Clean-out-of-Place and Sanitation of equipment and processing parts
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized and safe workplace
  • Lead or can manage warehouse space to align with GMP, 5S and EH&S standards
  • Handles or can manage in inventory or Raw Materials and Finished Products
  • Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.
  • Perform process floor organization and housekeeping in accordance with GMP, 5S and EH&S standards
Basic Qualifications
  • A safety-first mentality and proactively keep an eye out for safety issues
  • 3-5 years of experience in pilot plant or manufacturing operations (pharmaceutical, biochemical and/or food)
  • Strong familiarity or understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs (infrequent with assistance if needed)
  • Must stand for prolonged periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-motivation with strong oral and written communication skills with good organization skills
  • Ability to continuously establish and maintain excellent record keeping, inventory, and accountability
  • Ability to work with a diverse, dynamic team reliably
  • Efficient multitasker skills
