Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Project Manager to lead a luxury country club facility project from ground up. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of the build with exacting standards, coordinating complex interiors and finishes, maintaining schedule, budget, and quality on a high-end project.
As Senior Construction Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the active luxury country club / golf course construction - sitework, clubhouse, amenities, landscapes, interiors, support buildings, etc.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts, cost tracking, change order management, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain construction schedules (baseline, lookahead, progress monitoring), and ensure adherence to milestone dates.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, consultants, architects, and engineers; manage scope, RFI's, submittals, and quality control.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, long-lead items, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements; promote strong site safety culture.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and coordinate defect resolution and commissioning.
  • Interface with ownership, design team, and client stakeholders; represent the client in meetings and reporting.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project staff; recruit and manage project team resources.
  • Assist preconstruction efforts (value engineering, constructability reviews, budgeting) as needed.

You should bring:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience managing large, complex commercial or institutional construction projects (ideally in the $30M+ range).
  • Direct experience with high-end, luxury, or hospitality/amenity construction is a strong plus - especially country club, golf clubhouse, wellness facilities, etc.
  • Proven track record in ground-up construction and high-end interior renovations (such as medical spaces, upscale hospitality, or institutional interiors).
  • Excellent financial acumen: cost control, contract management, cash flow forecasting, and P&L responsibility.
  • Strong scheduling skills with mastery of CPM / critical-path methodology.
  • Superb leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient with project management software (e.g. Procore, BIM 360, MS Project, etc.).
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to delivering quality and client satisfaction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent (or commensurate experience).
  • Willingness to travel periodically within the region and spend substantial time on-site.
The client is a well-established commercial general contractor (over 40 years) operating all over New Jersey with projects in other areas of the tri-state as well. They specialize in a full spectrum of services including preconstruction, construction, renovation, development, and project management.
