Senior Project Manager

to join our dynamic team of professionals in our Charleston, SC office as part of the Stack Testing group. The

Senior Project Manager's

responsibilities include business development and the execution of source testing (emissions testing) events at client's facilities. Proper preparation of materials and equipment is critical to complete field activities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a can-do spirit and willingness to work hard in a team environment to achieve shared success. This job requires teamwork, tenacity, and flexibility to meet our clients' needs safely, and on time.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:




Providing quality emissions testing deliverables and enforcing the use of department quality assurance (QA) standards and checklists. Rigorously following company safety and quality control (QC) protocols. Delivering all emissions testing work products in accordance with mutually agreed upon project schedules; on time delivery is critical. Interfacing with clients, maintaining positive business relationships, and uncovering and securing future testing projects. Developing new clients when given the opportunity by other PMs or the BD team. Executing all field work to meet specified GEL quality standards and methods. Collecting, inputting, editing, and interpreting field data, and completing checklists and forms in both hard copy and electronic systems. Assisting in the preparation of environmental reports and emission testing protocols. Ensuring all instrumentation and equipment are calibrated and maintained. Driving company trucks, towing equipment, and testing trailers. Enforcing corporate safety policies and standards for a safe working environment. Supporting and enforcing Human Resources policies. Daily communication with clients, fellow members of the Stack Testing group, and other technical groups with The GEL Group, LLC.

Qualifications for a Senior Project Manager:




Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, Physical Science, or Engineering discipline Minimum of 5 years' experience hands-on stationary source testing (i.e., emissions testing) Must have strong leadership, organizational, technical writing, and communication skills Excellent writing skills for preparing comprehensive work plans, site- specific test plans, QA project plans, and test reports Experience with source level Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems Familiarity with US EPA Electronic Reporting Tool software a plus Qualified Source Testing Individual (QSTI) certification preferred Work at elevated heights (>100 feet) 50 lbs. lifting requirement, ability to transport equipment up and downstairs, ladders, etc Skilled with Microsoft Office 365 applications including: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:





Work is performed on location at commercial, government, and industrial client's sites. In addition, reporting and testing will be done in an office setting with occasional laboratory exposure. Travel to client sites, contractor facilities, and industry events is required at minimum 60% of the week.
