The Senior Analyst role is a new position in a recently established Procurement Department. This is an opportunity to play a large role in transforming the Procurement function within UniFirst. T his is an opportunity to play a large role in transforming the Procurement function within UniFirst. The Senior Analyst will support the Procurement Manager in strategic sourcing and category management activities, while also leading select procurement initiatives as the Analyst gains experience. This role requires the use of initiative and independent judgement, while working effectively with multiple stakeholders across several corporate functions and field service locations.

The Senior Analyst will support the delivery of savings and contribute to category management through the following work:

  • Develop RFIs to qualify vendors, and develop RFPs that aid in price discovery and vendor selection
  • Solicit and qualify potential new vendors for assigned categories
  • Support or lead sourcing initiatives with the oversight of the Procurement Manager
  • Negotiate all terms and conditions of supply with support from their manager
  • Draft and implement supply agreements with input from Legal and stakeholders
  • Facilitate implementation of new agreements and onboarding of new suppliers
  • Research and resolve vendor and product issues which may include issues related to product lead times, availability, quality, and performance
  • Provide ongoing Supplier Relationship Management support
  • Actively manage vendor price change requests, validate them against existing contract rates, calculate cost impact and update vendor pricing on the UniFirst intranet
  • Provide procurement research and analytical support on initiatives led by the Procurement Manager
  • Routinely validate and update corporate intranet site for assigned categories information
  • Maintain the contract database with current agreement information
  • Monitor raw material price indexes routinely to identify market trends
  • Promptly respond to field location product inquiries and ensure field compliance to vendor agreements
  • Provide product allocations to the field as needed
Reporting to Management
  • Cost savings, cost avoidance and performance improvements
  • Current sourcing initiative schedules
  • Opportunities for increasing supplier diversity, rationalizing suppliers and SKUs
  • Vendor usage and trend analysis
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess these minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree
  • 1-2 years of Strategic Sourcing
  • Manufacturing, consumer products, or industrial supply experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on the ability to use Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Fluent in English
