Our client, a leader in developing, engineering, and operating some of the world\'s largest industrial gas projects, is looking for a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer in their Allentown, PA or Houston, TX location. You\xe2\x80\x99ll write purchase specifications, evaluate quotes, perform technical bid evaluations, review vendor documents, and conduct factory acceptance testing.

About the Role:

• Apply knowledge of switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, motors, and generators in industrial power systems.
• Perform detailed power system engineering studies, such as short circuit, load flow, transient motor start, protection relay coordination, and arc flash, and develop electrical single line diagrams.
• Specify and purchase key electrical equipment, such as switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, VFDs, UPS systems, and DC systems.
• Specify large induction and synchronous motors and starting systems including reduced voltage autotransformers, reactor start, and electronic soft-start/VFD/LCI.
• Provide start-up and commissioning support for electrical distribution equipment and motors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years\' experience in designing industrial electrical power systems.
• A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficient in the use of SKM Power Tools, MS Word, and MS Excel.
• Demonstrate leadership skills by effectively leading a team of electrical engineers and designers on larger and more complex projects.
