The Role
The Sr Analyst will be a member of the Mass Markets (MM) Pricing & Offer Management (POM) Team. The team is responsible for the financial evaluation of Residential and Small Business opportunities, as well as contracting all MM opportunities brought forth by the Sales teams. The MM POM group partners with Sales, Planning, Engineering, Product Operations, Finance, Marketing, & Legal to ensure that all opportunities are competitive in the market, aligned with the Segment strategy, financially responsible, and executed with full compliance of Lumen\'s approval policies.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Position will require understanding of financial modeling/measures, the ability to partner across multiple groups, and to effectively communicate objectives and changes to team members and executives.
  • Examine contract and pricing requests from both a business standpoint and a high-level legal standpoint to understand implications of simple or complex language changes on a deal, segment, or market level.
  • Ability to understand complex data and translate into actionable/understandable terms (analyze, interpret, summarize, and present)
  • Develop standard and custom offers, business cases, and contract terms and effectively communicate with all levels of management within tight deadlines
  • Financial Modeling - understand, maintain, and develop
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies appropriate to changing market conditions
  • Work with Legal and other key stakeholders on the development and maintenance of standard templates
  • The position requires experience and knowledge of contract negotiations, language creation, redline negotiation, project management, custom offer construction, and sales processes.
  • Work across multiple functional groups to define, approve, support and implement standard or custom commitments
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis, take ownership and drive projects and objectives to completion with guidance from management
  • Position will be working with, negotiating with, and providing reporting and feedback to all levels of management in Strategic Pricing, Product Management, Product Development, Product Marketing, Business Sales, and Finance.
  • Minimize Lumen\'s Operational and Financial risk exposure in contracts
  • Maintain control and progress of contract negotiations, conference calls, documents and execution of contracts
  • Assist Operations with the understanding of executed contracts to be certain they can be logged, processed, and implemented.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, Marketing, Legal, or related discipline field, or equivalent experience
Three (3) or more years Finance, Marketing, Legal, and/or Telecommunications experience
Expertise in Business Management and Finance disciplines necessary
Skilled in financial, operations, & contract analysis
Excellent verbal, written, project management, analytical, and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as NPV, IRR, ROI, Margin, Etc
Computer skills: strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and is comfortable working in ambiguity
Goal oriented with a high attention to detail & quality based results
Ability to go \'beyond the numbers\' to get to key insights
Willingness to work overtime and comfortable working under tight deadlines
Ability to manage financial models and develop business cases
Ability to think both strategically and tactically
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA
Pricing or offer development experience
Experience working with executive management
Ability to manage financial models and develop business cases
Experience in contract negotiation
Telecommunications experience
Ideal candidate is detail oriented, a skilled negotiator, excellent communicator, and has the desire to work in a fast-paced high pressure environment in support of the sales cycle.

Salary Max : 128400

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
