The Opportunity: The Senior Medical Planner will be responsible for the direction of documentation related to healthcare architecture necessary for the design and project delivery of healthcare facilities consistent with the firm\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to design and quality. The Senior Medical Planner will market and develop relationships with healthcare clients by communicating with user groups to understand project requirements. This individual will represent the Perkins Eastman as a technical expert and provide overall programming, master planning, design and medical planning. Primary Responsibilities: Benefits Coordination

• Reporting to the Principal in Charge/Project Manager for the project and lead the healthcare team, guiding the medical. planning during the course of the project execution.
• Coordination with design team to integrate medical planning with project design concepts.
• Assist in developing project scopes, translate planning concepts to teams and clients.
• Conduct schematic and design development user group presentations and development modifications of medical planning concepts.
• Healthcare planning, programming, and medical equipment coordination.
• Prepare architectural drawings, documents, elevations, section, details.
• Coordinate department of health certificate of need submissions
• Direct medical planning project documentation from planning, SD, DD and CD phases.
• Facilitating client user group meetings and strategic planning sessions.
• Anticipate and develop solutions and standards to day-to-day technical matters and coordinate with medical equipment vendors.
• Being current with master planning, design and related medical architecture expertise and practices necessary for the design. and project delivery of healthcare facilities.
• Provide solid planning consistent with the firm\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to design, quality and schedules.
• Must possess strong understanding of life safety code and FGI design requirements.
• Familiarity with the latest heath care industry trends and innovations
• Ability to mentor upcoming medical planners or less experienced staff members.
• Actively participate in industry association to ensure visibility.
• Ability to assist in and represent firm in marketing pursuits.
• Assist with budgets and milestone schedules and coordinate with Project Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in architecture required, Architectural License and/or EDAC certification encouraged.
• Minimum 10 years architectural experience in Healthcare Facilities Planning
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and how design impacts those systems \xe2\x80\x93 public/private space, adjacencies, staff and patient flow, support functions, etc.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ADT, and Revit
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to convey medical planning needs to designers and team members.
• Team collaboration being able to both input planning in REVIT and provide clear direction for junior staff.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time.
• Effective problem solver
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Knowledge of Healthcare delivery.

Type: Hybrid. 3 days in office 2 days working remotely, flexible days/working hours. Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.
