The Senior Manager, Solutions Implementation, is responsible for managing multiple projects associated with the planning, development, and technical operations of Brother\'s software, services, and solutions. This position operates within the Solutions Development Group and works cross-departmentally out of the Shared Services division.

The position works closely with the product and marketing business teams in the creation and enhancements of Brother Subscription-based services and leads the business requirements and plan, do, check, act (PDCA)-based service enhancement planning. This role works directly with the IT division and the Brother Industries Limited (BIL) engineering teams in managing the overall development of the services and mobile applications and will help to assure that the work is completed on schedule and meets the business group objectives.

This position also manages the Special Solutions Team (SST) of technical specialists & engineers with the goal of creating innovative customer solutions for our internal B2B & B2C marketing/sales groups. This position manages the day-to-day performance of the SST while also providing strategic direction. With a heavy emphasis on technical prowess & innovative thinking, this role interfaces with all levels of the organization to ensure that the unique needs of our customers are met.

Additionally, the Senior Manager serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical product solutions and is responsible for collaborating with and coordinating projects between several stakeholder groups, both domestically & internationally, as well as the management of Brother\'s proprietary technologies used for solutions integration.

NOTE: This will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.

Service Planning and Development

• Oversee the planning and development of Brother services and ensure that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and business group objectives
• Collaborate with business divisions on the creation of business requirement documentation necessary for service development
• Work with BIC IT and BIL engineering in the development of functional requirements, operational flow diagrams, and strategy for service platform development
• Collaborate effectively with internal & external stakeholders, both domestically and internationally, to achieve desired results

Solutions Development

• Collaborate with B2B Sales, B2B Marketing, Independent Software Vendor (ISV), and Vertical Solution Provider teams to identify opportunities for new business & customer/partner base expansion
• Review external partner solution requirements & develop project plans
• Participate in pre-sales product demonstrations, leveraging technical expertise
• Provide guidance in scoping projects or developing proposals with partners
• Expand Solutions Developer Program, working with multiple stakeholders
• Develop new Application Program Interfaces (APIs) & Software Development Kits (SDKs)

Technical Operations and Project Management

• Manage team in all areas associated with the Technical Operations of subscription services and works closely with IT and BIL engineering in the configuration and maintenance of the back-end systems
• Collaborate with the Customer Service group and oversees the management of technical escalations
• Oversee the overall technical project management within the Special Solutions Team (SST) environment, including but not limited to the following areas: Auto-Fulfillment, Managed Print Solutions, Supplies & Accessories, & Brother Cloud Solutions
• Ensure that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet partner expectations
• Collaborate effectively with internal & external stakeholders, both domestically and internationally, to achieve desired results

Technical Expertise

• Maintain technical expertise in related technologies, including but not limited to: industry trends, strategies, and competitors\' products/solutions
• Collaborate with the international engineering team to develop & maintain technical contacts/relationships, attend relevant meetings, and act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) working directly with various industry groups, such as: Mopria, EPEAT, EnergyStar, IEEE, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc.
• Act as the technical SME and coordinator for the Brother Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT)

Overall Global Business Development Management

• Act as the primary technical and project communications conduit between various internal and external stakeholders, both domestically and internationally
• Liaison between various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Software Architecture, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

Experience

• 8 + years e xperience in people management/supervision while creating business technology solutions within a global organization
• 4+ years\' in software development and project management
• Experience in Managed Print Solutions and/or Document Management Systems is strongly preferred

Software/Technical Skills

• Server Architectures (MS IIS, Red Hat, Apache, Oracle, SAP, Nginx & IBM), SAAS, and Amazon AWS
• Knowledge of industry standards/programming languages, including but not limited to SNMP, HTTP(s), TCP/IP sockets, XML-based technologies, IEEE 802.11 MIB, JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), Python, Ruby, Linux, and C++

Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Excellent Communication Skills (verbal/written)
• Strong Project Management Skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, both internal & external
