Position Summary...

What you\'ll do...

As a Senior Engineering Manager on the Emergency Management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of frontend, backend engineers in building an experience that will be used by our field associates and Emergency Crisis Managers. You will partner closely with architects, product, UX and operations to ensure we build secure, stable, and scalable products for our associates and customers.

What you\'ll do:

• Responsible and accountable for maintaining, developing Tier 0 solutions for Emergency Management business partners.
• Lead a team of UI and Backend engineers in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of high-quality solutions for Enterprise Safety and Security Team.
• Provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in solution design, architecture and development.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement.
• Support business objectives by collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities; addressing high-priority initiatives (for example a business strategy, technical feasibility, implementation alternatives); identifying short- and long-term solutions; and leading cross-functional partnership.
• Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning..
• Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
• Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

What you\'ll bring:

• 12+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environment
• Leading large scale systems in fast-paced environments, experience in hiring and mentoring world-class engineering teams.
• Experience working with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.
• Passionate about reviewing code, familiarity with Automation Tools and strong customer focus and obsession with quality.
• Proficiency in back-end technologies and experience in developing APIs using Java, Springboot.
• Knowledge in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React, ReactNative.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management.
• Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
