ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
The Senior Loan Coordinator supports frontline lenders in Philadelphia and Washington DC with both loan origination and portfolio management. Acting as a crucial link between lenders, borrowers, and the operations department throughout the loan process, this role aims to deliver efficient and seamless customer service to borrowers while upholding strong standards in loan administration and oversight.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1. Loan Origination
a. Initiate and order required searches for new loans.
b. Oversee property appraisal process, working directly with the appraisal management team.
c. Establish loan-specific diligence checklists and collect and organize due diligence information.
d. Review loan applications to verify completeness and compliance with established standards.
e. Maintain all loan, borrower, and collateral data in the company's CRM system.
f. Respond to customer inquiries and provide support throughout the loan application process.
g. Collaborate with loan officers to facilitate timely loan approvals.
2. Loan Closing
a. Collect and review closing documentation, including title commitments and insurance paperwork, to ensure all requirements are met.
b. Review borrower organizational and loan documents for conformance with loan approval.
c. Determine when borrower files are complete and sign off on closing documentation package.
d. Coordinate and schedule loan closings with all relevant parties.
3. Loan Servicing
a. Monitor construction projects throughout the development process, including processing draw requests, scheduling site inspections, and preparing packages for lender review and disbursement.
b. Track loan accounts for repayments, delinquencies, upcoming maturities, and payoffs and utilize this information to prepare reports for loan officers and senior management to support portfolio management
c. Prepare extension memos and execute extension documentation with borrowers.
d. Manage borrower setup for ACH/automatic payments and ensure ongoing payment compliance, following up with borrowers as necessary.
e. Track loan renewals, insurance, customer financials, and credit checks, and prepare reports for loan officers and senior management to guide action on these matters.
f. Coordinate payoff requests and support the payoff process.
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:
Extensive working knowledge of commercial real estate loan documentation standards, closing procedures, and servicing procedures including but not limited to title, insurance, credit checks, property, individual and corporate searches, and basic corporate documentation structures
Experience working with CRM systems (knowledge of Monday.com a plus), as well as commercial loan servicing systems
Proficiency with MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Requirements:
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience working in commercial real estate loan operations/administration or a related field
Notary license a plus.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS:
Extensive external customer, vendors, and prospect contacts
Regular contact with various departments within all divisions of the Company, including management
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office environment. Ability to communicate in order to exchange simple to complex information with individuals and groups. Position will be based in the Philadelphia office with occasional travel to Washington DC required. Position will be hybrid with a minimum four days in office per week.
