Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As a Senior Learning Systems IT Consultant, you will be responsible for management of learning SaaS solutions and the integration of these solutions with other learning SaaS solutions. This position is part of an experienced, specialized IT team that manages multiple learning software platforms that work together to deliver a global learning ecosystem.

What You Will Do:

• Manage third party cloud-based software(s)
• Manage and troubleshoot integration with other software through APIs
• Manage data privacy and security compliance requirements
• Works on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution
• Oversees data gathering and analysis activities
• Documents sources and validates the accuracy of data
• Manage relationship with vendor
• Document and prioritize bugs and enhancement requests
• Track, test, and implement new features and bug fixes in quarterly releases
• Communicate issues, updates, and plans to users
• Provide technical expertise in the selection of new software solutions
• Supports the exploration of new, innovative technologies

What You Have (Basic Requirements):

• Education Requirement: College/university degree or minimum 8 years of software systems development/support experience

• Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

• Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

• Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

• Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

• Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

• Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have/Preferred Skills):

• Experience with API, xAPI, SCORM, AICC, and other communication protocols
• Experience with data privacy and cyber security protocols
• Experience working with learning management systems and analytics
• Experience managing data privacy and cyber security protocols
• Project management and prioritization skills
• Experience with Caterpillar directories, identity affiliations, CDID
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing websites, content management software

Summary Pay Range: $110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
