Our Information Services Division (ISD) is recruiting for an experienced IT Application Developer to lead our Business and Enterprise Technology Solutions (BETS) Development unit!



We are one of the most public facing state agencies and the second largest revenue generating agency in Washington State. Duties

As a Senior IT Application Development Specialist, your role will be essential in providing support for our BETS unit. Your expertise in system web services, interface processes, database management, and application development techniques will be utilized to the fullest extent. Proficiency in Salesforce, C#, VB.Net, .NET Frameworks, SQL, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and related libraries such as jQuery will be invaluable in the delivery of solutions using these technologies. You will work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to the analysis, design, consultation, development, quality assurance, and implementation of the system. In addition to utilizing these skills to directly resolve issues, you will also be relied upon to support and train leaders on your team and support the larger unit. Being able to drive performance and task completion while distanced from your team will ensure success in your role.

Some of what you will do:



Serve as the most experienced Application Developer within the BETS team, providing high level technical skills for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-wide application solutions. Use understanding of DOL systems to develop and implement solutions as a main application architect. Design, implement, and support database and data management solutions. Conduct research and analysis, and utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve problems. Direct testing and quality assurance. Manage and assign system implementations. Directly supervise IT app development supervisors and IT app development staff.

Qualifications

What you will bring:



Eleven (11) years of professional experience in the software development field to include: + Using MS-Visual Studio Development tools to maintain and develop agency or corporate level systems.
+ Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining Salesforce, C#, VB.Net, .NET Frameworks, using tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS) or other source control Tools.
+ Using HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and supporting libraries such as jQuery, etc., or like programming technologies, and the ability to provide solutions using these technologies.
+ Developing and testing MS-SQL 2016 Transact-SQL statements.
+ Managing/configuring Internet Information Services (IIS).
+ Experience working with relational databases.
+ Interpreting user requirements and software design documentation to be used for software development.
Two (2) years of the following: + Professional developer experience in design, development, implementation and support of custom Salesforce solutions.
+ Experience as an IT supervisor or team leader.
The ability to understand and follow agency values of respect, trust, diversity, equity and inclusion through behaviors and decisions.

Experience may be obtained concurrently.

Education to experience equivalency

Associates degree = 2 years | Bachelor's degree = 4 years | Master's degree = 5 years

What may set you apart:



Three (3) additional years of experience as a software developer utilizing the following tools and technologies: + XML, JavaScript, VB.NET, MVC, C#, SQL Reporting Services, Windows Batch Scheduler (TIDAL), Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), Web Services, SQL, Visual Studio (VS)
Salesforce Certification(s)
