Job Description


Work Schedule: 20-30 hours/week, hybrid work schedule. Expected to work on-site in Danbury, CT office 2-3 days/week

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Manage the development, review, and implementation of HR policies, employee handbook, procedures, and initiatives to promote a fair and compliant workplace.
  • Handle employee relations matters with sensitivity and professionalism, addressing concerns, and providing guidance to employees and managers. Work with Senior Executive Leadership on employee relations efforts, including conflict resolution, and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, ensuring data privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Administer employee benefits and process biweekly payroll in Paylocity.
  • Lead the performance management process, including performance appraisals and employee development plans.
  • Collaborate with management on employee training and development initiatives to enhance skillsets and promote career growth.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey labor laws and regulations, keeping abreast of changes and suggesting updates to policies as necessary.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees\' HR-related inquiries and concerns.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Human Resources; ideally as an HR Coordinator or similar role.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; will consider equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge ofHR best practices, labor laws, and regulations; particularly Federal, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and management.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative attitude.
  • Experience managing setup, configuration and processing of payroll systems;strong knowledge and experience with Paylocity (strong preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, and O365 including using SharePoint.
