Job Description

Our client, a well-established university based in Manhattan, is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Associate. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate will have 5+ years of accounting/finance experience & be immediately available to start a new role.
This role will involve you to:

• Lead U.S. finance operations across nonprofit and foundation entities
• Manage accounts payable, expense processing, and banking
• Own general ledger and month-end close, ensuring U.S. GAAP and nonprofit compliance
• Oversee U.S. tax filings and annual audits with external advisors
• Liaise with global finance teams (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A)
• Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
• Establish scalable processes, policies, and internal controls

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and nonprofit tax compliance
• ERP experience required (Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills required; Power BI preferred
• CPA or CMA credential (or actively pursuing) strongly preferred
• Spanish language skills a plus (not required)
