Job Description


Chernoff Newman is seeking a fresh, creative mind to join our growing team. We need an innovative problem-solver with a keen eye for composition who can work strategically across various media, including broadcast, interactive, social and traditional advertising like print and direct mail. The Senior Designer is responsible for routinely conceptualizing and producing creative solutions for clients. This role will be highly collaborative, reporting to the Associate Creative Director and working closely with Copywriters, FE Developers and Client Engagement teams. While passionate about collaboratively bringing creative ideas to life, our ideal candidate is also energetic and self-motivated, effectively managing deadlines and providing cost and time estimates for multiple, simultaneous projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide art direction and produce stellar graphic design solutions that effectively communicate the strategic intent of assigned product(s).
  • Possess solid understanding of the science and market dynamics of assigned product(s).
  • Interact with Copywriters, FE Developers to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned product(s).
  • Work closely with Client Engagement teams to schedule and monitor all projects.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks, as directed by Creative Director.
  • Advise clients on all technical visual recommendations and/or issues.
  • Facilitate creative meetings and provide input.
  • Assist in making presentations to client.
  • Direct and oversee the work of freelancers and designers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a related field: Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, Advertising or Visual Communications.
  • 8+ years of experience within an advertising agency setting.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products; ability to edit video is a plus.
  • Portfolio showcasing mastery of composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) in producing polished, final pieces.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of color theory and color relationships, typographic terms and specifications, page composition and grid structures, print production processes and photography.
  • Ability to communicate a thorough knowledge of assigned product(s), provide direction at photo shoots, check and approve digital and print materials and handle multiple assignments at one time.
