Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Commercial & Agricultural Lender

to join our leadership team. This individual will manage and grow an established portfolio of commercial and agricultural loans while leading our commercial lending function. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with deep roots in community banking and a strong understanding of both business and ag lending in rural markets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage an existing portfolio of commercial and agricultural relationships with a focus on quality credit administration and superior customer service. Develop new business opportunities through proactive calling, networking, and community involvement. Lead, mentor, and provide oversight to the bank's commercial and agricultural lending team. Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and collateral to prepare and present credit recommendations. Ensure loans comply with bank policy, regulatory requirements, and prudent lending standards. Collaborate with senior management in setting loan growth, pricing, and risk management strategies. Represent the bank in the community through civic involvement and professional engagement.

Qualifications

Minimum

5-10 years

of commercial and/or agricultural lending experience, preferably in a community banking environment. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong credit analysis skills and understanding of commercial and agricultural markets. Proven track record in loan portfolio management and new business development. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience guiding a lending team or department. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills. Commitment to community involvement and customer-centered service.
