ADVERTISING/WORKING TITLE: SENIOR CLERK-F/C
This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Martin Correctional Institution in the Security and Institutional Operations Department.
Our mission in the Security department is to provide exceptional secretarial and administrative support, ensuring efficient and professional management of correspondence, documentation, and communication. We are dedicated to fostering positive relationships with staff and the public, maintaining organized and accessible records, and supporting the overall operational needs of the department with diligence and integrity
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:

• Provides advanced secretarial services, including typing correspondence, memorandums, and departmental data, and assists with reports and special projects.
• Takes and transcribes minutes from meetings and serves as backup to other staff as needed.
• Performs clerical duties such as copying, scanning, faxing documents, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with staff and the public, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and routing calls.
• Manages office supplies, maintains files, and performs other duties as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Must possess experience working for a government agency.
• Must possess at least three years of secretarial experience.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
