About the Role:

The Selector/Stocker - Level 2 plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of inventory within the Non-Durable Goods Manufacturing environment at the Grand Rapids Campus. This position is responsible for selecting, organizing, and stocking materials and products to support continuous production and distribution processes. The role demands meticulous attention to detail to maintain inventory accuracy and to prevent disruptions in the supply chain. The Selector/Stocker will collaborate closely with warehouse and production teams to meet daily operational goals and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Ultimately, this position contributes to the overall productivity and success of the manufacturing facility by ensuring materials are readily available and properly managed.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or inventory control environment. Basic proficiency in reading and interpreting work orders, labels, and inventory documentation. Ability to operate standard material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred or willingness to obtain). Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Forklift operator certification. Experience with inventory management software or warehouse management systems (WMS). Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance standards in a manufacturing setting. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Previous experience in non-durable goods manufacturing or related industries.

Responsibilities:

Accurately select and prepare materials and products according to production orders and inventory requirements. Stock and organize inventory in designated locations to optimize space utilization and accessibility. Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records. Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse and production areas. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet daily production schedules. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area to comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist in loading and unloading shipments as needed to support inbound and outbound logistics.

Skills:

The required skills enable the Selector/Stocker to efficiently and accurately handle inventory tasks, ensuring materials are correctly selected and stocked to support production demands. Proficiency in operating material handling equipment is essential for safe and timely movement of goods within the facility. Attention to detail and organizational skills are applied daily to maintain inventory accuracy and optimize storage space. Communication and teamwork skills facilitate effective collaboration with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize workload and resolve issues. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with warehouse management systems and safety protocols, enhance the ability to work efficiently within established processes and contribute to a safe working environment.



Mon-Fri 6-2:30 PM, Saturdays as needed.


Typical 8.5 hrs. per day includes 30 minute unpaid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks.
