Job Summary

Seeking a System Analyst (Performance and Requirements Analysis) to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a System Analyst (Performance and Requirements Analysis) with MTSI, you will interact daily with government program managers and industry subject matter experts across multiple military branches to assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations.

Telework is supported at 50%. Travel is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Apply diverse engineering practices, techniques, and processes to identify and resolve difficult issues, as well as ensure resolutions are consistent with program objectives, existing policies, and procedures. Apply professional knowledge of engineering to establish requirements for technical objectives and characteristics. Develop system performance requirements, objectives and integration, and the estimation of time and resources for system design, development, and support. Plan, analyze, and evaluate engineering and technical efforts used to define system/subsystem requirements, translate requirements into design criteria, assess alternative design approaches, and develop system. Prepare technical reports and briefings to inform leadership and stakeholders of project status and outcomes. Develop and implement a strategy for integrating MUOS space satellite service life extension efforts with the ground network including ground network modernization efforts. Responsible for accredited MUOS Performance Model, ensure code baseline aligns with Delta 8 Modeling and Simulation Tool (MST). Prepare Systems Tool Kit (STK) analysis for system analysis and visualization of MUOS antenna models. Analyze system capacity for future Five Eye Alliance (FVEY) and other access to MUOS. Analyze and produce engineering solutions to system level operational issues. Prepare system metrics to inform leadership and stakeholders of project status and outcomes. Digital engineering champion. Develop Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) government reference architecture to reduce integration risk of MUOS service life extension. Outline program Digital Engineering (DE) / MBSE future goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least five (5) years of experience in Systems Engineering.

Education Requirements

Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field from an accredited university or college. Master\'s Degree in Engineering or closely related technical field from an accredited university or college, desired.

Salary

The minimum salary starts at $130,000 and the max is negotiable based on experience.
