Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Direct Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs in various care settings. Duties



Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, ensuring prompt communication with healthcare professionals as needed. Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality. Support residents with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met and dietary restrictions are followed. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts safely to assist with mobility and prevent injury. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing routine cleaning tasks consistent with health standards. Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with facility protocols. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a respectful and engaging environment. Follow all safety procedures including CPR and First Aid protocols to ensure resident safety at all times. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Participate in ongoing training related to dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, hospice care, or other specialized services as required.

Qualifications



Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; ongoing training will be provided if necessary. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to patient information. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. Demonstrated reliability, patience, compassion, and a positive attitude toward caregiving roles. Basic knowledge of medication administration procedures and documentation practices. Flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings or weekends as needed; availability for ongoing training is beneficial. Pay: $12.50 - $16.00 per hour
