Job Description

EXCEL Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Security Technician to join our team. The Security Technician will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's people, assets, and information by implementing and maintaining security systems, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and alarm systems. Conduct regular inspections and tests of security equipment to ensure proper functioning. Respond to security system alerts, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform necessary repairs or upgrades. Collaborate with the security team to design and implement security measures and protocols. Monitor security systems and analyze data to identify security breaches or vulnerabilities. Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. Train employees on security protocols, including the use of access control systems and emergency response procedures. Maintain accurate records of security incidents, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging security technologies.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Security Technician) preferred. Previous experience in security system installation, maintenance, or related roles is an advantage. Knowledge of security system hardware, software, and protocols. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Familiarity with local and national security regulations and standards.

Working Conditions:

Work environment may include both indoor and outdoor settings. May require periodic evening, weekend, or on-call work for maintenance or emergency response. Physical demands may include lifting and carrying heavy equipment.

Schedule:

10 hour shifts

Note: This job may require occasional telecommunication or travel to different locations for service calls.
