Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the Security Officers and ensures the safety and security of our employees, patrons and the company's assets.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

:

includes but not limited to:

Assists with the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and counseling of the Security staff Investigates and records all occurrences and incidents within the facility, including but not limited to, the gaming floor, retail area and hotel Responds to complaints, ejections, medical and assistance calls, as needed Detains persons involved in illegal activity and notifies the appropriate law enforcement officials

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures the accurate flow of information and communications between all levels including changes that affect the department Assists with directing the staff regarding compliance with department policies and procedures, regulations and internal controls Maintains department logs and paperwork

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent Three years of experience as a Security Officer in a high volume, complex casino environment or three years of experience in security or law enforcement

Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

Training Requirements:

Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures Must complete the all appropriate Human Resources Supervisor Training courses Understanding of Ascent, EmpowerTime and Manager Self Service systems CPR, First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogen certification SMART alcohol awareness

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time Ability to respond to emergency situations in a expedited manner Possible exposure to unknown health and safety hazards and physical altercation Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
