The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Security Office, receptionists and guard staff (10 people total, ranging from 2-7 per shift), protecting people and assets, monitoring all Home Office, Branch properties, and affiliate entities, UPS/Data Center Facilities infrastructure during off-hours, card access and video security systems, fire command & control, BMS systems monitoring, enforcing policy & procedures, providing for the efficient and professional administration of emergency medical care, directing local and remote law enforcement responses, and all related security & life safety training and administrative functions.

Major accountabilities include:

Supervise the schedule & task assignments for the contract security staff in a 24 X 7 X 365-day operation.

Monitor and operate with proficiency all Security systems including, but not limited to Card Access, Digital Video, Home Office Camera Network, Home Office and Branch UPS systems, Guard Tour and Key Management Systems, 2-Way Radios and alert systems, and any other systems to be employed in the future.

Monitor and operate with proficiency the fire alarm control panels and related systems, Central Alarm Station, and any other systems to be employed in the future.

Supervise all aspects of receptionist and guard testing and training (exercises, drills, P&P\'s, certifications, law, medical, etc.).

Respond to all Home Office and Branch emergencies in a manner consistent with P&P\'s, training and management direction.

Supervise all administrative functions associated with the Security Office & Reception Areas in all campus buildings and branch offices inclusive of ID cards, access cards, visitor processing, luggage and package control, records management, incident reporting, data/information back-ups, disaster recovery, etc.

Monitor and operate with proficiency various Building Operations Systems including BMS, sidewalk heating controls, lighting, sensors, alarms, etc.

Continuously study and fully understand all Security Policies & Procedures with the ability to professionally and efficiently execute same.

Greet and interact with all clients, employees, guests and officials in a timely, professional, and courteous manner, while maintaining a firm and authoritative demeanor that controls all aspects of personnel and asset security.

All other Facilities, Security, Life/Safety and Reception functions as deemed appropriate by Corporate Security Management.

Your Profile:

Minimum of 2 years security experience in a corporate setting, preferred.

Knowledge of security law and practices.

First Aid, CPR and AED certification required within 90 days of hire (prior certification preferred).

Computer and/or security systems experience and expertise required.

Candidate will be required to attain position related ASIS designations within 18 months of becoming eligible as required by Corporate Security Management.

Valid drivers license, clear criminal history, periodic unannounced drug testing and background checks.

Must project a professional image at all times, wearing a clean pressed uniform (as per policy), with no visible body art or execessive jewelry. Hair and accessories will be presentable in accordance with a conservative corporate setting.
