As a Security Professional - Unarmed Government Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for everyone on site. Your visible presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals you encounter. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately when emergency situations arise.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist with maintaining order at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or address any observed concerns.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as suspicious persons, property damage, or emergencies.
• Document and communicate any security-related incidents or concerns according to site protocols.
• Support access control and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
• Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Six or more months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or a General Education Development certificate.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
