What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned residential and/or shelter locations, including building interiors and perimeters.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, potential hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry, disturbances, or suspicious behavior within the residential and/or shelter environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, guests, and staff while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
