As a Security Professional - Government Patrol EMT Certified in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling government locations. You will remain highly visible throughout your assigned area, conducting routine patrols and providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and general information as needed.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Emergency Medical Technician certification.
• Have at least six months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma as required by the client.
• Possess a valid F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness if working in New York.
• Possess a valid guard card or license, if required by state and/or local regulations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
