As a Security Professional - Armed Transportation Site Patrol - Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.
As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a dynamic transportation location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to incidents. This is an armed and driving post, where you will interact with the public and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our core values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Operate as an armed security professional, following all applicable laws, regulations, and site-specific requirements.
• Support transportation operations by assisting passengers and staff with security-related concerns and inquiries.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and any security-related activities performed during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military role.
• An active armed guard card or license is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
