As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle during patrols. Your presence and attentive approach help to deter security-related incidents while delivering excellent customer service. You will interact with a diverse range of people and respond to various situations with professionalism and care, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere built on integrity, teamwork, and compassion.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior within the location.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with facility staff and local authorities as required to address security-related issues and maintain order within the healthcare setting.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of site-specific rules and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
