We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our client's locations and property during the overnight hours. This position requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations, and understanding of their role as a theft deterrent. This is an UNARMED security position. We are looking to fill this role ASAP! The hours for this role will be 10p-6a.

THIS ROLE IS HIRING FOR 2 LOCATIONS, 1 IN EAST HARTFORD AND 1 IN SIMSBURY

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring the safety of individuals on the premises. Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure security protocols are followed. Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities and document incidents. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies. Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities for record-keeping purposes. Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.

Skills

Proven experience in law enforcement or military is required!

Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
