What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for staff and residents.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs within the shelter location to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff, residents, and visitors.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification when required, and documenting visitor information.
• Collaborate with shelter staff to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for all individuals at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
