As a Security Officer - Shelter Center Patrol - Full Time in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will play a key role in access control and security-related monitoring at a shelter location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures at the shelter location, verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and/or concerns from residents, staff, and visitors in a professional manner.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, communicating with site management and first responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
