Night Owl Security Shift - SE Portland Grave shifts, weekends & holidays - Do you enjoy moonlit patrols, weird hours, and Portland's quietist hours, and being the only person that knows what that noise was? We want you! Who we're looking for: o Licensed Security Professionals (in Oregon and must be current & valid) o Somebody that is comfortable working grave shifts, weekends and holidays (You'll be the guardian of the night) o Somebody that is comfortable working alone (most of the time you will be alone) o Somebody that is calm, reliable, responsible, alert, and able to handle routine and not so routine patrols and incident reporting o Somebody that owns their own vehicle that is reliable to get back and forth to work (your vehicle will also be your office, locker, heater and cooler as there is no building access) What you'll be doing: o Patrol the site on foot (hourly patrols) o Some patrolling in specific locations within the site depending on activity levels o Monitor premises for security breaches and suspicious activity (in the middle of the night everything is suspicious) o Keep an eye out for trespassers, mischief, and ill-advised porta-potty parties o Take photos as directed and report incidents that are clearer than a sleep deprived detective's notes o Interact professionally with staff as directed and the occasional unwanted person(s) (they are all unwanted in the middle of the night) o Making arrests and/or calling police when unwanted persons are located Schedule & Pay o $18.00 per hour, $27.00 per hour for anything over 40 hours per week - Even guardians of the night need compensation o Primarily overnight, grave shifts, weekends and holidays - steady hours, great for people that prefer to sleep during the day, like, night owls, vampires or daytime nappers Perks (besides moonlight and peace) o Regular, predictable schedule o Weekly pay - we don't hassle with efficient direct deposits o Simple duties - save the drama for TV o Supportive Management Team o Portland views (when weather allows) and the exclusive company of the coffee you bring with you Requirements o Valid Oregon Security License o Valid Oregon Drivers License o Own your own vehicle o Ability to pass a background check and drug test o Comfortable working alone and making sound decisions independently or with little direction How to apply, instead of a cover page send a brief story of your experience with solving a dumpster mystery involving strange noises at 2am.
